Wisconsin Careers

Changes in the workplace will be the most significant factor in Wisconsin's future economy.  Our students must know about opportunities in the traditional economy and be prepared for jobs in the new economy. However, most young people know little about their career options and even less about the economy into which they will soon enter.

It is our responsibility to make sure information reaches students so their career decisions are based on both personal interests and abilities, and accurate labor market information.

Currently the Wisconsin Careers Web site, WISCareers, is used throughout Wisconsin and offers a counterpart, CareerLocker, available in a limited number of locations in the United States.  (Click on guest tour.) Students use this Web site to access their personal interests and abilities to develop a portion of their career portfolio.  Through our partnership with Wisconsin Careers, area businesses provide students with current and future career options via Careers Connection.

With another new feature, Information Exchange, businesses offer community resources—speakers, tours, mentors, and more—to area educators to support their training of our young people for the world of work.

For more information and to obtain an access code or add your business, call Brian Johnson, career education manager, at 920-437-8704 or e-mail bjohnson@titletown.org.
