Educators in the Workplace is a summer enrichment program for teachers and counselors for grades six to 12 and NWTC instructors, designed to provide educators with the opportunity to interact with business people and experience different workplaces. Educators attend seminar sessions coordinated by NWTC, UWGB and the Chamber of Commerce, and work in area businesses a minimum of two weeks.
Educators in the Workplace application
Business/Education Shadowing Partners
Business/Education Shadowing Partners is conducted during the school year, upon request. Educators are invited to shadow business people in their workplace, and vice-versa.
Counselors in the Workplace
Counselors in the Workplace invites school counselors to spend some office hours at a business site, creating an opportunity for employees and parents to speak with an education professional. Such set up is a chance for employees to learn about educational opportunities for their children, and for counselors to enrich their knowledge about the business world, providing additional career advice to their students. Counselors in the workplace opportunities are arranged through individual requests from area businesses and educators.
