Brown County Teen Leadership

Modeled after Leadership Green Bay, Brown County Teen Leadership focuses on training and involving youth leadership in the community.  The Brown County Teen Leadership program offers a comprehensive, sustainable leadership development program to high school sophomores with skills, knowledge, experiences, and networking opportunities to be effective partners for positive change in Brown County.

During their sophomore year, participants attend a monthly experiential program where they address self-awareness, visioning, teamwork, facilitation/collaboration/consensus, creative solution finding, diversity awareness, change management, values and ethics, and trusteeships.  Then during their junior and senior years, the teen leaders are members of the Teen Leadership Academy with additional training sessions and community leadership opportunities.

Community boards and agencies throughout Brown County are encouraged to include teen leaders in their activities and leadership roles.  Teen Leadership Academy members also have the opportunity to be linked with Leadership Green Bay graduates through the Linking Leaders project to expand their community involvement.
