Each year, the LGB class is divided into four or more groups that undertake a community-focused project, providing participants with additional educational experience beyond the monthly sessions. The project is a key part of their development as community leaders and trustees.
At the completion of the project each team member has:
- Gained experience in community problem solving and issue resolution
- Worked closely with a community organization in seeking resolution of a problem or issue
- Made a significant contribution to the well-being of a Green Bay organization and the Green Bay community
- Had an opportunity to observe, experience, and practice leadership, as well as some of the skills and knowledge required of a leader
